Would rather not on the side of the road.

  5. Should be on the left as you look from the back, give it a squeeze to shift the muck that’s got in there from filling up

Fingers crossed you're notwaiting too long. Check your fuel receipt, if you got one that might tick off whether it is fuel or not.

Hot dissy is a clue I reckon... fried Leccy ignition module. They really don't like getting hot. Have you got the compulsory spare points dissy in your spares?

Never keep the receipts. Trying to call garage now. Got a horrible feeling. Two black pumps and a blue one. Think I grabbed the blue thinking the others were diesel.

  9. That’s never fun, my guess is electronic ign module breaking down.
Might go again for a bit when it’s cooled.

Call breakdown let them sort it or tow you home. Sort it on the safety of your own drive .

Isn’t the blue pump Adblue ?

Hopefully just a case of draining it out and refilling ?

I think it’s less harmful than diesel.

    Good luck.

  15. Mine did something similar when the power for the elec fuel pump had become loose on the coil. Visually looked ok but not a good connection. Got hot and no power to the pump = felt like it had run out of fuel, coasted to the side of the road. turned over fine but wouldn’t fire.

Was in an awkward place so got a tow, fixed easily but wouldn’t have wanted to go near it at the side of a busy road.

Hope yours is a simple fix too. Glad you’re off the m-way safely.

Possible re fuelling issue, pump colours can confuse. Nearly put the wrong stuff in mine once by not checking.

  17. Can open the fuel filler and have a sniff. You should be able to tell right away if there’s diesel in there.
Otherwise I think your elec ignition is fried.

Me too. I drive two diesels and one petrol vehicle. It can only be a matter of time.
