This might be an exciuse to grow a big ginger tash now! hopefully though with the way its cut - in the direction of my mouth/lip I'll get away without a very visual Freddy Krueger scar, the facial surgeon who put me back together seems to have done a very neat job.

The old scars I had (hence the username) on my left cheek and forehead have healed really well considering I almost went through a car windscreen before, so fingers crossed.

  14. Heads and faces heal up very quickly (more so than the rest of your body as brilliant blood supply)
Might end up with a numb lip but in a very short while you'll look fine

  15. Hope you feel better soon and that heals up fine. Had a college teacher years ago with a moustache who admitted to taking the guard off a small grinder at home cos it would'nt quite cut deep enough and it jammed on him, kicked back and cut his lip open badly hence the tash. Lesson to everyone on here, wear your protective clothing, we all get hassled about it at work but i bet most people dont always protect themselves as well as they should when working at home, guilty of this myself.

Thanks for the support, sympathy and karma everyone, I'm sore and achy but in good spirits. apart from I've just dribbled a cup of tea down myself as I've no straws here. :-X

I'm one of the 1st to tell people to put guards back on grinders etc, but am guilty of taking them off to get a deeper cut or for more access when required, and sometimes using a grinder without a mask, gloves or goggles.

Although on this occasion I was goggled, gloved and well covered up sometimes the apparent perceived overkill and restrictiveness of a full face mask would have saved my face.

This might make few people rememeber a full face mask when using cutting discs. /preach over C:)

  18. Hey Kruger, sorry to see your injury, looks sore but I'm sure it will heal soon enough. Hope its not too uncomfortable when the tash comes through :) No snogging for you for a while ;)
