  4. Thanks for the reply dude

I always keep the guard on the grinder but dont use a full face mask as like you ive had loads of shards in my eyes

Makes me cringe about using the chainsaw now as ive zero protective clothing for that

we was on about this today at work with the whole h&s thing
and we was saying how it odd that in this day n age electric grinders aren’t
operated on a deadmans trigger !
we seem to think the air grinders are

  8. Technically they do but most people put the lock on when using them

I took the guard off mine after this happened.

My finger got dragged in between the guard and the 2mm disc just for a brief whizz but long enough to slow the grinder down. I tend to be much more careful without the guard on I hope, but my constant risk assessment has gone up another level since you started this thread... not enjoying work today.

  11. If anything this thread has rejuvinated my healthy respect for power tools

  19. Bloody hell Kruger!!!!! I nearly cried myself when I saw that!!! Hope you're not feeling too sore today and that you heal quickly

No more power tools for you young man ^-^

  20. I hate to say this, but those stitches look like they were done by a 15 year old civil war nurse. During a battle. At night.
I've seen a lot of facial scars and thought they looked swarthy and added character, but there is a limit.
I hope you have seen a plastic surgeon. Maybe it's not too late to restitch.
You should have literally hundreds of fine gossamer stitches pulling that together to minimize scarring.
I just wanted to be sure you know that while there may still be time to do something about it.
