  4. I read it's not good to ride with the engine lid open, sucks all the hot air back in.

  5. i thought there was a hot zone and a cool zone in the engine bay and ALL seals needed to be in place to achieve it

    however cool bus 8)

  7. Grinner im afraid the posters above are correct
You really need to get that engine lid fitted otherwise your going to kill your engine

Im sure theres a way you can get a proper engine lid fitted but still keep that rat/hoodride look

Have you had a look behind that alloy chequer plate to see whats lurking below?

  14. As you may have seen in the tech forum, I was having problems with keeping the idol going.
So its turned out to be a spark problem. So I've replaced the points, condenser, dizzy, rotor arm, HT leads and plugs. I should put a picture up as its all blue and matching!

    ;D

  18. Looks sweet. Shame about the engine lid, would be good if you could keep it for shows.

  19. Well that's different, my ignition barrel jammed! I couldn't turn the key at all! And to top it off, I was a work! Had to walk home at 2 in the morning being the last out.
Returned the following day to replace the barrel!

  20. Love that bus buddy. Feckin awesome. With regards to the engine lid, I had a Baja beetle many moons ago and had no problems. Surely this is the same?? (open engine bay)
