Phew. You can imagine the dismantling needed if you find these essential pieces on your bench when you think you've finished!
i love this bus man!! awesome thread! watching with a lot of interest!! i have to ask though, what did you do with the old wheels that were on it before the fuchs?? i would love a set of them for mine!!
ah thats a massive shame! those would be exactly the kind of thing for the look i want eventually. you dont happen to remember what make they were do you? regardless, thats a great bus and im looking forward to seeing it at a show or a meet sometime! keep up the good work, its great to see a proper rat bus for a change, is making me question if rats the way to go with mine! had a few proper rat cars in my time, and always loved the look..
i thought they looked liked centrelines, but as they are usually used on US drag cars i assumed they may have been copies of some sort! you had a pretty special set of rims there, i hope to god you got a good price for them! (yes okay, im a wheel whore....)
oh right, yeah ive had a few sets of split rims that have had that problem. its a pain! i like your fuchs too man they look good on your bus!
Thanks Got it idling but I've got a horrid mechanical scraping noise, can't tell where it's from. http://instagram.com/p/crIS6XDpdn/
Due to the exiting way my van has been repaired in the past, it's front indicators are in the head light and are not bright enough to pass MOT. Last year I bodged a couple of motor bike indicators on the old light surrounds. But soon took them off post MOT. I'm now going to fit old style VW golf/scirocco side repeaters to the bumper as a permanent fit. Here that are, Marked out and drilling has commenced, End result ain't pretty but nothing is about my van, Soon realised that old water pumped VW's have straight flat panels. prototype bay bumpers are curved. So here is my curve straightening tool, that I used in conjunction with a hammer! End result coming soon...
