So it's a DC to DC charger. It takes excess alternator current and configures it for the profile of the leisure bank, in this case 160amps of lithium iron phosphate battery.
Takes the place of a split charge relay with a more targeted charge profile and can charge at a rate of 30amps/hour.
It's also a mppt solar charge controller, with the ability to harvest up to 350 watts.
I've just got it set on solar at the moment because it won't replace Chips VSR and standard mppt controller so I'm not wiring it in permanently.
I just wanted to trial run the kit and iron out any issues before it goes into the T3.
However, I'm sure it's intuitive to its designer, but I'm a bit lost at the moment. Lots of multifunction lights and rows giving lots of information.
I don't really want to carry a manual Chris so I'm hoping it'll turn out to be plug and play in dullard mode:rolleyes:

  4. I think @mikedjames may have had his soldering iron / fingers in the design of that - bonkers !!

I`m more into looking for one green light and an unlit red light that tells me all`s well ... :D

    Bon luck mon ami :hattip:

  6. While you’re at it, tell their “engineer” to go on a User Interface design course

  7. Woken up in it, got out to check the ‘awning’ / windbreak are still ok and got back in the camper, it’s certainly fun here with 44 mph gusts of wind 151F4A4D-8B67-4583-A492-F33EDB7E0AB0.jpeg

Checked the oil, tweaked the idle, filled with petrol and drove 160 miles across country to home after a week in Harlech. Ran really well :)

After fiting my new Halfords 4 pin relay for my fuel pump which took the load of my coil, my camper started like a dream for the first time :). So I went for a drive to see some friends and have a celebratory pint in a country pub and dove back. Saw a lovely dark green T3 on my way down the A3 and we had a good wave.

Figured out where to put it.
Months away from actually using it. Guess that gives me time to figure it out. I think it looks more complicated than it actually is.

Have you got enough ventilation to the side of yours? Or are you literally just trying it out?

Various "long" things now with a couple of coats of Rustoleum enamel. Throttle linkage, vacuum pipe, hard fuel line and the dipstick handle
