Fitted this little fellow.


A retro push button FM / AM DAB radio with blue tooth and lots of toys.
Had to get a splitter to allow the normal aerial to pick up DAB signals, also spent day yesterday removing the old radio, which was propped up on a piece of wood screwed via the ash tray holder, then unravelling the PO wiring that looked as if it was installed with knitting needles.
Looks good sounds good and now got all my Tilly CDs on a small fire stick
Very pleased with it

 

Also fitted a new horn the old one just refused to beep.

 

I have mine on the registration plate light, supplied from the reversing lights.

 

Turned it around 180 degrees. Got the 5x4 m polytarp out and tied it to some gutter clamps. So the rain stops running into the bus through the holes it really shouldnt have.

 

Are you still interested in bong-ing? I may have found the answer. I'll keep you posted ...

Took the cover Off for the limited sunshine - realized the tires are looking flat.
gonna cover it over as its getting dark :-(

What aerial have you got for the DAB? I put a stick-on one on the nearside windscreen - works fine.

Your oil is dented. Send it back and ask for some with straighter molecular chains.

 

Decided to start a resto thread on hacking the front of my bus, and breaking tools.

I still have the double mount standard aerial but the input goes to a splitter box which is powered, if you are interested i will dig out the link from the Gateshead company i used.

 

No I'm good thanks - my van has never had an external aerial so the inside windscreen option works well for me.
