  1. It's built Into the reg plate surround. About 20 quid on ebay[IMG]

  2. I decided to give Filmore a long run out as he hasn't moved for three weeks. About a quarter mile from home, my makeshift air filter fell apart, and the metal base shorted out the solenoid wiring on the carb.
I got it home and whipped out the carb and have already made up a new wire, but the heavens just opened, so he'll probably sit there another 3 weeks now..

  3. That wiring

    Good opportunity for a tidy-up ;)

PS You might want to look further back in the loom (if you can) to see what else has melted.

  4. Stuck some LED sidelight bulbs in. That's enough, I think. All my running lights are now LED-age, to stop my long-suffering alternator breaking into a sweat.

LED bulbs are same length as standard ones, but point right at the (hot) halogen bulb. Be interesting to see how long it takes for all the LEDs to come unsoldered :(

  5. Fired it up for the first time in 6 weeks (started second go:thumbsup:), went to the garage, pumped up the tyres and put in some fresh fuel. Took it for a nice hour long cruise around the Northamptonshire back roads where I'm pleased to say it purred like kitten:)
After parking up back on the drive I of course gave the vents a good sniff:D

  6. It’s when you start sniffing other people’s vents, you have a problem...

  7. I have no shame, I'll sniff anyone's vent:p

    Cheats never prosper :(
Had a phone call from the guy who was going to repair my drop side hinge saying there is more rust than he expected.
I’m waiting for him to send me some pictures.
Shoulda had a go myself but been busy recently.
    Oh well

  10. Took him for a gallop to Jack's Bush and back, past the aerobuzzers in Middle Wallop. Up the Stockbridge hill in fourth . Never missed a beat.

Charged the main and leisure batteries with the Absaar charger I bought on @dubsurftones's recommendation a while ago. You never know, I might just sneak out for a quick run when it's not snowing :)

  12. Watched a bob dylan film in it... [IMG]

  14. No it aint ..

Head past Bolton Abbey , down past Strid woods . All downhill - Kink left , kink right just as you're come out of the right kink there's a hump in the road as it slips off camber and still breaking right ...
Anything over 50 and it breaks - everytime...
Gotta be careful as you're tramping on into a narrow bridge followed by a tight uphill left ....

@Pony might know this excellent stretch ?

  15. Certainly do, the stretch from Stump Cross down to Appletreewick affords gibbering airtime and a couple of brake fading hairpins, nigh on vertical on the inside.

  16. BTW, someone hadn't quite made over the bridge you mentioned, last time I was over there.

  17. All good fun , heading for a spot of fly fishing at Apptrick around 7am after a night shift - loved it around there

Good question, I think it's good for the money. I'll check the model number and write up a review.
