I think the turquoise dust caps set the gold off nicely

 

To quote Victor Meldrew.....”I don’t believe it!!”........where has all the gold paint gone?? it’s seems that the supply of gold paint has run out here in my home town, well in the two motor factor stores that are open so I have had to go with silver, but it’s just not cutting the mustard for me. It looks like I have another quest taking shape, not only in my search for the illusive 1st gear but now the missing tins of gold paint!!

 

Gold is reserved for "special" members to match their undercrackers.

No-one sees it under there.

I’m a fan of a protective layer of congealed oil.

Leave the gold paint for the Colin MacRae lookalike Scooby driver’s wheels.

No such luck, need to get my scuba tanks refilled before I can get under the bus again due to all the wet weather!!
And before you ask, no I’m no further on with the gearbox nose cone as I’m still awaiting the new parts and also I have “to finish all the cornflakes out of the box before you can use it to make a new gasket” apparently, well that’s according to the Mrs......

 

@snotty.......well I’m half way there in my quest for some gold paint and now that more shops are open I could only find a small tin paint ........so I thought I might get away with a small can.......oh dear, but now the more I look at it the more I like it
