She's never gonna get the amount of seats she need to get an overall majority surely? I tell you what, they will out her within a year after this.
That's a fair point. A lot of politicians seem to think that if they pretend they don't remember their past policies, comments or voting that no one else will. It's caught out May on her record as Home Secretary and it caught out Abbott on her support for the IRA before her mysterious illness.
I thought the exit poll was a good predictor? If so, what a colossal cock-up, and just what we don't need going into brexit 'Strong and stable'
Even if May scrapes enough seats to get a slim majority she will surely be toast. Her political credibility is shattered.
Polls generally have not been that good an indicator recently. However for it to be showing as this close must make this one of the biggest tactical mistakes in politics since, well, since David Cameron promised an EU referendum to shut the tory eurosceptics up and usurp the UKIP vote.
Lou has been saying to me, the Tories want out so as Labour have to negotiate brexit? I think they have been complacent myself.
Serves them right for presuming !! There should never of been an EU referendum in the first place Now look
I think it's the worst possible outcome for the country. As a conservative voter I obviously wanted a large Tory majority. However I'd rather have seen a labour win than another coalition government. In coalitions no one wins as no one can fully implement the manifestos that everyone has voted for. So it makes a mockery of the election. All the people who deserted ukip and young voters who turned out for labour may ironically find out they don't get any of the policies enacted that they voted for. Also as a brexit leave voter, I personally wanted a clean break. That can't happen now. Due to the deals that will have to be done between parties. I fear we will end up remaining in all but name. Still paying fortunes to the Eu. Still propping up the Greek economy. Still unable to secure our borders from the uncontrolled tide of Syrian migrants let in by Angela merkal. Still not able to deport or imprison terror suspects due to the European court of human rights. On a positive note though thank good the police and security services were able to make it safe for us all to vote.
