I understand that and meant the hierarchy and the Tory overlords ( That do exist btw and not a figment of our imagination or paranoia ) I just don't get why we the working classes vote Tory!

  2. Apologies you abviously didnt write what you meant. You said Unions, plural. Len says a lot of things. Cant stand the man. At it again today. Hes not exaclty an advert for modern progressive trade unionism is he!

BoriS is damaged goods and a very easy target... 320 million springs to mind. Interesting times. Tories may struggle to get support from europhile mps rather than euro sceptics. Hes not the man to deal with europe!

Incidentally, this DUP alliance is not a good idea and may result in some significant issues with NI and brexit. Not good at all!

I won't moderate your swearing, But I will ask you to not bypass the swear filter.

On the subject of how people vote and this type of thread in general I will refer you to my signature post and some wise words I quoted below.

    Just a thought
What was in the Tory manifesto that made you vote for them

I know people don't want another election, just a bit of silliness on my behalf, it's been a bad day for us but it could of been worse, at the end of the day we lost 12 seats, labour gained the majority of their extra seats not from the Tories but from the SNP and Ukip

Bazza I think I probably put worse on here but it was an election that didnt need to take place and now we are just left with abit of a mess

  7. Any particular reason why they shouldn't vote as they please rather than on the basis of class? o_O

    Too much word
In general I have no objection and there is no reason why a person can't use their vote any way they want, they can even ruin their ballot paper for all I care, but when you stop and really think about the things the Tories do to redress the working class people's hard fought for gains ( Most recent being minimum pay as an example) then I struggle to understand the working man voting for them, especially at a crucial time like this when Brexit is up for negotiation. Do people believe they wont sew it up to suit the aristocracy of this country rather than the working man?

The other thing I don't like is the clever tactic of marginalising lower working classes and making them think their vote won't make a difference. Clever that, it takes away a lot of opposition!

Been self employed since I was 24 now 53 with my own company so asking for anything from society is not an option.
It wasnt really a loaded question I was just interested in others views.
I sometimes get battered at work for my views but we never really fall out

Why not? There is plenty to go around. Why should the upper classes have it all their own way, why can't granny go on holiday every year on her pension like the toffs can?

This is why we never used to allow political threads, but the people asked and the mods said yes, now those people hardly post in these type of threads or have gone!

labour policies weren,t for the lower caste in our society they were free for all - free school meals even when you earn mega bucks you kids still get it - even the queen gets her heating allowance ( and yes she might refuse it or give it away but she still quailifies for it ) lets face it the money is better spent when it targets the right people

If Bazza was in charge of this country

I would raise the personal allowance to £18000

I would raise tax to 21% up to £50,000 then it's 50% up to £100,000. then 60% to £200,000 then 70% thereafter this would raise enough money to fund it all

I would scrap road tax and put it on fuel the more you drive the more road tax you pay

I would bring in an Australian style points system for immigration

Immigrants would have to pay into the system for 5 years before they can claim Heathcare or benefits, they would have to take out personal health insurance to cover themselves for the 5 year period

Banning orders and or tagging for suspected terrorists

The unemployed if able would have to work for their benefits i.e. Graffiti cleaning, rubbish cleaning etc etc

Benefits would be paid in vouchers, some for food some for electric/gas so instead of buying fags and booze the children would be fed

    Free tuition fees for students

Free electric and gas for the OAPs

I would scrap Trident( I agree with Corbyn)and put the Money into the NHS

I would put British troops at all Ports to check every vehicle coming into the country

I would have a mandatory 3 and out, 3 guilty verdicts you get life

Death penalty for the Huntleys Brady's, wests
    Glitters, savills

    Legalise weed
