hopefully look a bit tidy when done.

  5. That looks a lot better, i'm in the process of doin my engine while i take a break from welding

  6. Its been a while since i posted but i've still been busy on the camper! The engines back in and running ;D clutch is all connected up and feels good but i'm completely over haulin the braking system so casnt try it around the yard until thats sorted :( in the meantime i've started on the interior, basically we are keeping it simple, its going to have a nice comfy L shaped bench seat with storage lockers underneath, it will feature compartments in the rear back rest and maybe seat arms, overhead lockers running down one side and across the back and a rear compartment unit with 2 pull out drawers with a built in single gas burner for the kettle! there will be a buddy seat behind the passenger bulkhead and a drop down table and the back of the bench seat will be removable and form part of a double bed .i'll post pics as it evolves.

i'm ,making the frames for the seating out of 20mm ERW which is a very light box section, i can easily lift what i've made so far above my head! this will be bolted into the van but it will all be faced with a nice veneer, heres what i habve so far

Some very good progress there mate, looking forward to seeing your interior work!!

  12. Done a bit more on interior today, The rear cargo area will be aluminium chequer plate lined, it will incorporate a base drawer locker with a pull out gas burner and a second storage draw unit this unit will have an aluminiun chequer plate top with draw fronts in body colour with chrome finger pulls, i'll use tool box ball bearing race slides for the draws. To the right of this will be a Tool storage box for jack etc.

The bulk head/rear of seat has hidden storage for all your nick nacs etc and will have a hinged wooden lid with jail bar top, anyway thats the plan!!!! heres some pics from today

Coming along great, but chequerplate? Wouldn't want that in my cosy bedsit on wheels...

  14. Love what your doing with your interior. I'm having all seating in mine too and I'm liking the slide out cooker.

that looks awesome buddy, really tidy. whats the colour? looks spot on, i'm going for florida blue on mine!

  19. Cheers Mate, its VW Olympia Blue with a Ford white on top, wasn't sure at first but it looks fresh i think!

Started making the rear Drawer locker this evening, got the frame made and waiting for some roller bearing runners to come for the draws and some stainless steel finger pulls then ill make the drawer fronts and spray them body colour, the cooker will be housed in the left drawer and will raise up when pulled out for that cuppa by the sea!!! going to make a tool box on the right hand side in that awkward gap and along the back seat a polished double luggage rail. Heres a few pics
