  1. Filled him up with crap, ready for a trip to the dump tomorrow...

  2. Started to make a new rear chassie leg in the engin bay ,as its very rusty where the engine bar mounts. Wish:rolleyes: i could of been driving it day, as the weather was so nice:cool:

  3. Fitted the metal warm air pipe that goes from the right hand side (underneath) and pops up through the tin to connect to the air filter. Fitted the sliding door handles and steering wheel. Fitted the track cover. So when they say good quality it means you could make one yourself out of a card board template and it would fit better ( Take note people ) Buy good used and paint ;)

OOOhh and replaced the fuel as I thought it was off but I hope it was the manifold icing as seems ok now.

Its booked in for MOT Wednesday Gulp, it hasn't been on the road for 8 years

I'm so not looking forward to the drive there :(

  4. Fixed the zig and leisure wiring ... I now have lights and power!

  5. Zed

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

I had one all painted up once then found it was 5mm too long.

  6. It wasn't that bad, but for (was it £80 ) for a pair they were s4it. Really bad :( The old ones were a bit like a tea bag, in color and perforations :D

  7. Yes, just a bit faster and a bit more comfortable. :) It's not like I've got an engine in the front, or anything stupid like that. ;)

  9. Bought a 2l type 4 engine and collected a 2l six rib gearbox for £550 the pair.
Now to speak nicely to Paul Weeding. :)

Fitted a new ignition switch, rewired the ignition coil feed with better wire and wired in the reverse spotlight to its own switch as well as the reverse light switch on the gear box and remove some stray wires from the fuse box. All very bizarre. As well as wire up Hibiscrubs spotlights and check for oil leaks following the fitment of adjustable pushrood tubes due to the bus dumping its load in the workshop.

What l didn't do was fit my new reading light in the bed area and new seal for the fuel sender because l've gone and ruddy lost it. Why oh why oh why do l loose so many little things l buy from VWH??

  18. I really don't know how I get anything done, my whole shed is a complete tip, I cant walk a pace without standing on something or tripping on something. My bench is so full of cr4p I struggle to find somewhere to put a cup of tea down :D

  19. That sounds like me too. After bolting in my new front seat, the footwell is now knee-deep in tools and bits'n'bobs, so gonna have to spend some time sorting that out now too.
