Ok here’s the before along the top edge. Looks to be sticking out and seal lip isn’t all the way in:

Wired up my rev counter to replace the original blank in the dash. Got so used to having tacho's over the years, that I tend to "drive" by them, so I have been really missing that in the Bay.

Yeah... until all the carbs linkage and filters and fan go back in

 

Is that a Wago I see ?

 

.... might be..... quite taken to them! ...splitting the feed for carbs... with the option of another switched live if I need..you new fangled carb people without chokes , judging!

I confess to having a Wago under the dash for panel lighting...

Found what looks like a screwdriver in the vent pipe thr snail fan connects to.. only noticed when looking at photos..

Just bought sone wiper blades and 80 90 gearbox oil. Building up to draining and refilling. Now wheres me 17mm hex.

 

You can also pull on the inside edge a bit.
But I would suggest some of @paradox sealant to make really sure. Seal the seal to the bodywork..
My front panel and screen surround has been welded up at least once .
My windscreen is modern.
The corners do not ever seal and the bottom is about 5mm too far out even with whacking so it just fills up with water if there is no sealant in there.

 

Today I had a visit from Mike (wayoutwestie) who taught me how to service and tune up pumpkin ready for some adventures.

The engine is now running nice and smoothly.
