Used her to collect some 3.6 lengths of timber ..... just go in without risking front or rear screen.
Now needs a clean / check over before our 3 week tour of Scotland starting on Friday.

  2. Which set up did you fit? something to keep an eye on the oil is on my ever growing list!

  3. This only applies to a Type 4.

I got a Taco Plate from "boatyardbuses" on ebay, this replaces the existing Taco Plate and is a nice fit, the sensor is in a cowl machined into the the new taco plate, to help prevent wind-cooling of the sensor, similar to the one on the 914.

I got the black one as I thought that will radiate heat better, he does silver too. You can order direct and save e-bay fees, if you want, I have the contact address?

I bought a new seal from Heritage and got the VDO gauge and sensor as a set from Heritage or M7, can't recall which.

I think the hole in the plate for the sensor is 13mm. I can dig out the numbers, if you need them?

Dried the cab floor up. The front windscreen is leaking like a sieve. Looking dry over the weekend so I'm going to remove it and refit. I think the top isn't seated properly.

  5. That’s a bummer :(.

Think the aperture is a few mm too small so it's a mega tight fit. I'll get there! Ordered another seal from heritage (genuine one I think?), the one on at the mo is a top quality one from Schofields.

Took it out for a blast in the sun. Filled it with fuel and put air in the tyres ready for its MOT on Friday.

stick up a picture, may be no need to remove, keep wacking it, it does need to be central etc before it goes in for best results, also push the seal into the bodywork to make sure its properly seated, can do this with the windscreen still in

You're not doing it right unless you've bled all over it. Think I gashed my hand when fitting the louvred window, didn't realise until I noticed red all over the white paint!

  17. If it still doesn’t seal after that then use a non setting butyl rubber sealant
