  1. Spot the Wago. Might change it for one of the sexy see-through ones.

Drove it over to Herne Bay.
Passed an L reg naranja Westy east bound on the M2 at about 1930pm who were doing about 45mph going up a slight hill.
We waved but it turns out the couple in the bus were having such a row they were not even looking where they were going.
So they failed to notice us waving... huh. :(:(
We left them behind very quickly.

I hate the red inline crimper for the left front indicator,

Whats with the blue crimp then? and no relays for wash/wipe, indicators or fog lights on the underneath of the fuse holder.

  12. Gave her a bit of a tune up. She now idles after coming off throttle rather than stalling. Should make driving more fun.

Interesting how a Beetle oil bath air cleaner fits on top in a bus.

Or crimp it with a ratchet tool for a better finish.

  15. Didn't...but fired up the Bug and got him out of the garage, he wasn't running right, stale petrol, needs new plugs too. He was backfiring and spiting the stale fuel back out of the carbs. Fouled plugs, hopefully.. But it feels like Summer is coming :)

Got my mates Corrado into the garage and helped him change a dodgy water pump with a noisy bearing, what a *****ing horrible job. Glad to be air cooled :)

  16. Or horn. Pah

Horn relay is switched by a on/on switch secreted under the dash so as I have two options air horns or the original..
Proved a bit difficult due to earthing. But sorted with it with a dedicated earthing relay using the earth feed from the horn push..

BTW the heated rear window has a relay fitted on the diagnostic block that is switched from the diagnostic loom up to dash.
Hope this makes sense but it does work.
Yet to fit a fire extinguisher...................

  19. Fitted new bushes on the throttle spindle...thanks @nobody... just in case this was where some air might be getting in ... and replaced all the connection pieces on the idle pipes...and balance pipes and swapped the manifolds so there on the correct sides so it can be fixed to the back plate like it supposed to be...[IMG]
