Thought I'd have a look at the front of the rear arch and sill, one thing led to another and I've chopped another large hole the rear arch has been replaced at some point but rotted out again at the bottom and it looks like when the arch was done they didn't bother repairing much of the rot underneath it. What now passes as the inner sill isn't attached to most of the top hats - the 5mm gap is full of filler covered with black gunge.

 

Changed the oil.


Fitted new sliding door trim

 

Banana milkshake Nesquik , ever tried it with ......milk malibu and Bacardi .....not to much of it mind or you will be sick in the night .

I didn’t realise there was a trim for that part of the sliding door. Another thing to look out for at the auto jumble

 

The catch trim was a new one on me as well.
Seems genuine has part no. 224-843-697/B and sourced via Heritage.
Fitted spot on ,even had the screw holes that matched the door.

I have that one... I have a naked top guide which makes a mess of my rear curtains!

 

Odd that it doesn't seem to be on the microfiche. Maybe deluxe models?

Odd indeed, I can’t find it for the RH (LHD) door either.

 

Matches the black deluxe trim, I suppose. Or mebbe Brazilian busses?

 

Brazilian bus would have it on the right. Probably.
