    Phoned breakdown to get it into the garage to sort petrol problem :). I keep thinking I will have a go but seem to be busier than ever with silly old work that’s eating into my evenings at the mo :(

  8. Fabricated and fitted a proper metal vacuum line for the timing advance, because OCD. And also because OCD, that imperfect radius on the loop is going to bug me for eternity.

    Not until I have something else big to do. Another 20k miles to a 50k inspection...

    Bit of work on the firmware in that and I'll have it backfiring for you like a good 'un , sir.

    Looking a little moist around the manifold seal behind the dizzy , first sign of a leak - i hope i`m wrong ...
    ( i often am ...:D )

    Had one to bits then?
    Backfiring for me has usually been due to air leaks .. need to shave the h/x flanges methinks.
    Just want a smooth running motor.
    So anything to help will be a fairytale....

    Insure it for a sensible amount.....mine was £16k ...now increased to £20k.
