  1. finished the install of my 34 ICT webers.
    jesus what crappy job.
ditched the EMPI manifold and went for CB performance, but still ended up filing the sides of the castings to get a socket on the securing nuts.
is nothing fit for purpose now?

anyways all in, balanced, linkage done, tidied up the cabling/fuel pipes/breathers etc and went for a blast...

WOW, a very noticeable difference, nice little induction roar under load, no more flat spots, well worth the effort :)

Good luck. Don't forget to pump a bit of air into the windscreen washer bottle.

  3. Final wires connected (including the earth) and I can now read at night...

  5. Got a cheque back for one month of road tax but paid nothing to start with. Bonus.

  6. I've done that too!

  7. Received off-cut of carpet back from having the edges whipped. Pleased with fitment. Also fitted rattle can painted vents. The colour match could have been better as they are a bit whiter than the kick board but I can't be bothered now to re-paint them again. [IMG][IMG]

Resoldered and insulated all these wires but the sod still popped fuse every time I indicated right.

Took three on and offs with it all and a bit more of a strip down plus a lot of fuses before I finally found the right hand wire had almost pulled off its soldered point right near the stalk just enough to short where it's sandwiched between two metal plates!

  11. You're excused, then ;). Possibly the worst soldering I've ever seen.

  13. Took off rear bumper to refit towbar. Water gushed out of one of the rear bolt holes. Where is this stuff coming from? It's a mystery to me...

  14. Out of one of the bolt holes ? :)

  15. Word of caution. If theres water in there its sitting in the box section and will cause obvious issues but can rot all the way up to the torsion bar tube with some quite nasty outcomes! (ask me how I know)

  19. I'd like to know how/where it's getting in
I get water dripping out of mine and a build up of white fuzz which I presume is from the zinc weld through primer used during the repairs
I've doused all that area with cavity wax aswell
