Put the sliding door back together seems to work ok, door plates and Handles of for chroming Not sure if I have lost the captive nut of the back plate of the door mechanism ???? And had one bit left in the bag ? which does not seem to belong ????? Any suggestions ????
Day of today so made a bit more progress. Fitted new glass to wing mirror. Fuel tank In, suck the gasket down with permatex to keep it in place, new fuel sender in Nightmare with the hoses eventually sorted with a large bucket of hot water. Last job one of the windows broken down for a polish ...
Thinking about head lights. Was a us bus so I guess something drastic required ????? Trim is rather nasty plastic chrome and I trashed one of the support frames getting them out Any suggestions ? Could not find a thread ....
Looking good nice job, Question for you what did you use to get your pop top looking so smooth mine is starting to look a bit tatty, Steve,
Slow progress Been away with work a lot but back now so finished the pop top and got the engine lain out to start Bought a engine stand to make the job a bit easier Ie
Crank and cam in, case Made up case no parts left (only joking !) clutch on and deck height measured Crank still seems to rotate so fingers crossed Shims and heads in the post !!!!! If only I could get photobucket to stop rotating the photos !!!!!
Looking good - love the colour scheme and that poptop looks great! Keep up the good work, we're watchin' you........
Barrel spacers finally arrived wrong engine than wrong size So heads on and torqued up Plus faffed with the heat boxes jb weld to the rescue ?. not sure how long they will last ..???? But didn't fancy new ones as it planned to be a fair weather bus May well end up with j tubes later
JB weld is great stuff. Repaired a cracked cylinder head with it and it lasted years. Are you working on the engine with it hanging from the roof or is it just your piccies?
Engine looks a bit strange rotated on the engine stand which has been a god send Knocked up some DIY exhaust gaskets and painted last bit of DIY engine tin Lots of file work on the exhaust and heater box to get some alignment
Been a bit quite on the van (busy at work !!!) but some new bits in the post so a good morning Please with the chrome took 4 months ! But worth the wait
