  2. Well im hoping to be breaking out the compresser next week to get it undersealed again as brushed on it looks awfull
Ive bought a brake line making kit as im pretty sure the brake lines are not going to come off without a fight even though most are in good condition.

The plan is to underseal the arches and all underneath the cab fit everything back on and move it round to the front of the house
Then the back end will go up in the air and ill start on the underneath of the cargo floor area
Most jobs here have been done so its just 3 fillets of steel to put in paint then underseal
After that im into the rear arches and once there done its mot time and rolling resto after that

  5. Sounds like you're getting there. How long till its MOT'd then?

Brake line making kit should come in useful, though the full set of hard lines in copper is only £42.

  6. It will probably go for mot feb/march time next year

I paid the same price as a new set of lines for the flaring tool a pipe cutter and a roll of copper pipe and the unions
Once ive done the bus i will still have the tools left for future projects so it made better sense to buy the kit

I want to be out working on it but weve freinds over to stay this weekend and i dont think they take kindly to me leaving them indoors whilst i work on the bus lol

  7. Well i started undersealing the arch tubs and under cab area today but didnt get finished
The underseal was setting in the gun as it was so cold outside
I was heating the gun and the tub up with a heat gun then spraying untill it started setting in the gun then heating it again
So ive still got one arch tub to do but never mind its all progress and i can start bolting bits back on soon.

It gives a much nicer finish when sprayed on instead of brushed on its just a shame its such horrible stuff to work with.

  16. Its underbody seal with waxoyl dude i nearly always use it on my projects as it really helps slow down rot taking hold in the future

Its not clagged on an inch thick to hide corrosion or faults and you can still see the panel joins so im sure the mot man will be fine with it

I used 6 1ltr. cans of the stuff under my van. I think its the best stuff for the job, been on 4 years now and still fine.
PMSL oh how i remember scrubbing the stuff off my arms and head. It gets up your nose as well. ;D

  19. Great job mate  The underside is going to look very neat and factory fresh. Your right it looks much better sprayed on. I've got 10 1 litre cans at the ready for my project. I'm going to paint the underside with Hard Nose paint first then apply the underseal.

  20. Cheers dude

The top wont look good at all for a long time but as long as the mechanicals and underneath are spot on myself and the mot man will be happy

The body resto will be done a panel at a time inbetween using it i know its not the best way but at least i can use the bus
and it should help me decide what works and what doesent

It will probably roll round for a year in non porus primer if im honest
