Yup indeed dude Ive lost a lot of mine to deer this year but ive one or two that are doing well i just need to be wary of the bottyrot as it gets damper
Helps if you run at the deer like a mad Celt during a warpspasm and trim away all of the lower leaves which will be yellowing right now to give more energy to the flowers
Lol deer dont care I once awoke in my hammock to see a deer eating my tarp guy ropes It only buggerd off when i coughed i must have spent a good ten mins watching it eat my camp Its amazing what nature shows you when you step out of the normal world and come down to natures leval
That was brought home to me a couple of years ago after smoking a wee to much, when a hedgehog licked my toe in the blackness of night, never felt more vulnerable and at natures mercy, the thing could ave eaten it ,if it had tasted like a slug
You see dude that to me is the norm We belong outdoors at natures mercy and bounties Modern life in my eyes is a falsity that not sustainable The awfull thing is if you dumped 80% of the population in the wilds most would perish within a week We are so far removed from where we came we are no longer a great mankind Many creatures teach there young to provide for themselves from nature Apart from mankind who teaches them to become reliant on processed pre packaged stuff from retail outlets Ask yourself this If the world went tits up how many days water and food do i have Do i have the skills and the ability to provide food,water and warm shelter for my family? When times get hard the x box generation will die first
LOL moons I suppose im saying the modern generation have never had the chance at real life learning The younguns aint bad they just have missed out on a free and happy childhood with real idols to look up too Too much xbox,x factor and x parent nowadays for kids to be steered in the right direction
Indeed If its not entertainment provided right before there eyes kids say there bored My eldest daughter is in her first year at high school shes sneaking make up in even though its not allowed.shes talking to mum about this boy she fancies Then i hear her telling mum that hes not that clever because he knows all about xbox games but would be scared of camping incase the bears ate him Her view on it whilst talking to mum Ill wait a while till i talk to someone whos not soft I realised then i dont need to sit in a rocking chair with the shotgun waiting for her to arrive with boyfreind Ive brought her up well enough shes a sensible head and ill respect her choice of bloke and her desicions I still look at her though and think how the hell did i bring you up so well Im still a child myself in the big picture
Deep cat! My eldest is x-box generation but he'd survive no problemo. Our house is stuffed with home made forraged jams, chutneys etc etc. The hedgerows are bare round here now thanks to him. It's pure luck that he listens to and takes on sensible advice in life. Pure Luck mate. My other son is the opposite and they were bought up just the same.
Wow just read back it seems a drunken night at the computer even sends my own threads off topic lol I had an hour or two free this morning whilst the little un was at nursery and thankfully there was no wind blowing today So i managed to cut out my previous bodge and fabricate and weld in a fresh repair piece for the bottom of the arch tub. The weldings not the tidiest due to me constantly setting fire to the underseal but it will tidy up fine with the air file Once its tidied up i can paint it then im going to spray waxoyl under the whole cab area After that its time to start bolting all the shiny painted parts back on in a bid to move the bus so i can start on the underside of the cargo floor
Lets put your welding into perspective!! Yours is pretty good, and I've seen a lot worse... and I've seen how bad the welding is of a couple of different people who do dubs full time!! Which is quite shocking really!! Main thing to remember with welding is, clean, clean, clean... the cleaner the surrounding steel is, the better the weld!! If you've seen some of my stuff, you'll know what I mean

That plate looks good to me mate, the main thing is if your going to grind it back that you got the penetration there in the first place, and that looks pretty well penetrated (Walks away sniggering at the use of the word penetrate)
Yeah the welds penetrated its just not all that pretty Its my own fault for not cleaning the underseal back properly I have had the grinder on it and its tidied up ok just a few pin holes to fill then ill get the air file on it to finish off
Cheers diddy Yeah its moving along nicely now A little here and a little there and it soon adds up ive found breaking it up into little jobs helps to stop it swamping you Im looking forward to bolting all the parts back on that ive painted It will make for more impressive picture updates lol
