Brake proportioning valve painted . New kunifer brake pipes all cut to length. Just need to get the ends flared now. Much better than the steel originals.
Test fitted one of my new MX5 seats today. I'll gain just over 2" of extra headroom over using the saab 9000 seats i have.
Fitted a couple of new Kunifer (copper/nickel) pipes to the master cylinder: The rear connection (furthest from the servo) on the master cylinder went to the T piece: Then from there to each front flexy hose: I'll fit the grommets when i can find some that fit. The front connection on the master cylinder goes to the brake pressure regulator which i bolted to the chassis rail (the right was round): Not got around to making up the front to back pipe yet. There wasn't much point buying a pipe bender as the kunifer pipes are so easy to bend by hand.
They've got speakers in the headrests too. The previous owner of them upgraded them from 50w to 160w (and theres 2 in each). He must have been deaf!
Repaired this hole i made by dropping a saab 9000 seat onto the arch. Looks a little better now. Did a few little repairs to the seatbelt mount too and welded a new nut underneath for the seat belt to bolt into.
They're a mates (in his bug). He's well into his Jap cars too, and the leather option in brown is quite rare apparently
Theres an MX5 sat around the corner from my inlaws with brown leather interior in. Looks really nice. Slammed on huge BBS wheels too.
About 3mm maximum. Most got sanded off again. Its not perfect by any means but it looks tidy enough and will do for now until i can afford to replace the whole arch.
Its tempting. Its just above the height of one those lower arch repair panels. Next size up is a full arch.
