  1. I know, this is even more exciting than the royal wedding. see what i can do about a vid. maybe a vid of it roaring into life, me realising i left it in gear, then it shooting out the gate and ramming into "Little Warsaw" over the road. (i love them polskis really)

Make sure you charge the battery and get a gallon of fuel, maybe 2 :). Gently caress it back onto its wheels and stroke it into life, then MOT it and lay it up over winter :D

  4. The tension is almost unbearable........
Today I got baby to sleep for an hour so managed to get under le bus and get all the engine bolted back in. Now I just need to reconnect all the engine bay wiring and put in the fuel line from tank.
I've progressed from being moist with excitement to having a semi.
    Semi installed engine that is.

    Still reckon I've forgotten something........

  7. Nope I threaded that baby through with pride, safe in the knowledge that it was something else I'd forgotten :D

Got me a litre of sunflower.......I'm not fussy!

  8. You could also use baby oil and then you could massage your engine into life slowly:p:p:p

still got your semi so its all ok :)

  10. Finished fitting the engine this week. Turned out the float valve on the carb was stuck, causing it to flood, so after the usual correct advice on here, i was able to fix it, and now runs ok.

Heres "crap video of the week" of my engine not self destructing. Yet.

Today was quite productive. Started by wiring up the rear lights, for which i purchased new genuine lenses and the seals. the old lenses were horrific looking repros. However the lights are not working right, so i decided to in vestigate that another time and do other stuff so as not to waste the day.
So refitted the big tinware, new foam seal - shiny side down and join behind fan housing, just so i can pretend i know what im doing - and put in the air box with new filter element.

also tried to fit the stove pipe which collects the warm air for the air box. i bought one off ebay years ago as my van didnt have one, but never got round to fitting it before. it looks like it wants to fit but wont! so i might try and get solme flexi exhaust and make one myself?

  14. The polskis helped in a variety of ways.
They had 4 cars all playing different music, loudly, whilst valeting them.
They played football in the street.
They had loud conversations, with regular "kurwa's" for added effect.
    God bless em.

  18. i video'd it when i first started it up after installation. unfortunately i cant seem to uplaod it, which is a shame as it
s my dad filming it and he sits right in front of the exhaust.........i fire it up, rev the tits off it, he gets a face full of gas and god knows what else, and he can be heard shouting NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!
i thought it was funny anyway
