I'm off ont oliday to centre parcs int mornin, probably won't have time to pop in to you though, I assume the boss lady will have your family transport? I think a pair of new crap chrome handles and key are only £14 new and GSF may do them, post will probably be £3-4 and the chrome is much bad . Today I have put on new indicator seals and secondhand genuine hella indicator lenses, looks much better than the crappy old (un)clear/milky things that were on there. I've been helped to overcome my numpty ness and refitted the heater pipe under the dash. Now this is great, I never had heating before as there was bits missing, not connected up blahblahblah. I've fitted secondhand repro heat exchangers, but ive cable tied the h/ex open for now as the cables are a bit gash, so I'm getting good heat up front now. And this is before I've fitted the gaskets on the h/ex and sealed up a couple of dodgy connections, it'll be great! Refitted all the mat, carpets and kick panels and seats in the cab, looks quite pleasant now. Drivers seatbelt in, passenger seatbelt half in, have made a new mounting bracket but need to get new drill bits to drill it out as mine are bluntish. Fitted big centre belly pan, and tried to fit front under pedal tray but realised I've only got one screw left, so had to leave that for now. Fitted new drivers door handle. Had another tickle on the rear brakes, they're definitely better and the lights come on much quicker now, but I'm still not sure whether they're not quite right or if that's just the way they are. I haven't driven it for nearly 3 years so maybe I'm just too used to modern brakes. Drove it round the block 5 times today. Polskis are well impressed. If I can get a baby sitter this week I'm going to go for mot.
Getting an mot is just the beginning! Then it's the start of another list........still needs bits welding up/repaired but they're not mot stuff so can wait.
Bodgetastic. Today I ran a bead of sealer round all my window seals to stop the Leakey leakers, so I can put my floor down without making a moisture trap, so I can fix my bed in. Also wrestled with my bed some more, and left it in pieces on the cargo floor to rattle around
Ah , I actually have the slidey block thing now, (had for 3weeks) wonder how long before I fit it....... But yes my slider does slide vunderbar
