That's a picture of a light. :) Does it hold the engine lid open?

  2. I think birdy was saying the weight of the light helps the engine lid slam shut

well another good day watching paint dry. Finally finished using the power tools and for most of the day I've had my hair dryer out. No not for hair. I've not gone into hair dressing but to aid the drying of paint. All that's left for tomorrow is for top coat of yellow.

One of the various rust proofing primers. Well see in 3 years what it's done. hope to have the bus resprayed then.

    Then some seam sealer.

    And primer.

And while all this paint dried and boredom set in l changed the shocks
    [IMG]

Polished up the engine hatch catches.

And fitted nut inserts to the firewall so l could use more of my new allen key nuts that l bought for the engine tins. And while l was at it l polished ip the wires and regulator.

  8. Same dampers ive fitted dude

I bet barry will ride a lot better after there fitted its amazing how much money people spend on lowering etc to cure bad handling but complain at replacing standard dampers

I was winding you up but Para got in first.

Right about the dampers. I replaced the new looking air shocks on mine with identical ones and the difference is amazing.

Looking good in there mate. 8)

Looking very good Stu, for drying paint, we found a small three bulb halogen lamp on a stand for £16.99...works a treat & gets the garage nice and toasty too!

Where exactly did I get the chance to accept this bet?

I bet you a tenner I'm lying on my bed - Yey - I am - you owe me a tenner. :) A fiver for me and would you be so kind as to pay Para as well. Thanks.

  17. Stu, if you need one to help the paint dry i've got a little propane blower heater you can borrow (it may kick up dust) but if you put it just outside the engine bay aiming at it, it will warm the surrounding area and hence the engine bay too?

Cheers mate but having all that spare time allows one to clean other items. We have a paint oven at the garage but Gary has a BMW in there at the moment so I'll suffer the slowness off normal drying times. Also gives me extra time to polish bits that will annoy Mike4. We are going head to head in a shine-off. It just means now he has to go that extra mile :)

  19. Hmm shine off

I make bits shiny even if nobody can see them
