    My handbags ready Mike :)

What a nightmare. Painting primer in an engine bay is easy. It goes everywhere. Putting a colour on is more difficult. It never seems to go where you want it. So 4 rattle cans later I am done. Wished I bought more now.

    More pics of todays work.

A little plastic lift for the battery to help prevent water getting trapped under there and some drain holes. It does look a lot better than it did. Not the best but it will last for a few years yet and then I'll do it all again :) and with a new tray and rear quarter.

A little bit of shiny sound deadening before l put back the padding and make a new hardboard top panel.

And just for over kill l decided that with the bits left I'd do the firewall and above the gas tank.

Roll on tomorrow. Tomorrows job is sort out the wiring, remove the diagnostic socket wires that are left and rewire the reverse lights to the leisure circuit so l can keep it on when parked at site to help fit a tent up or such when arriving at night.

Not much done tonight but that didn't stop 3 hours vanishing. Started to turn my attention to the wiring. Bit of a disaster because there has been some kind of smouldering incident around the diagnostic plug. So I've cut it all out. Fascinating little bit of kit. Socket 5 checks the heated rear window circuit!!!!!

One side done. A couple of redundant wires have been lost from here on the N/S.

All that was left of my plug.

    Opps.

Wires within though are still intact and ok.

And the wires removed from the O/S engine bay.

Busy busy day last night re-sheathing wires. Had to admit defeat and not get all the wires into on sheath in one part. I was also not able to get grey sheathing because they had sold out but the black looks smart.

With all the damage to the loom I had envisaged problems. I had none. All the lights work. Now I just need to wire up the extra brake lights within the unit (ran out of terminals) and reverse light on to it's own ignition free circuit.

Finally the battery can go back.

Just the side marker to wire and ten the leisure battery can go back.
