bad move splitting that can too mate. Get a can of green gunk and coat that engine bay then steam clean it. Gunk that can tto, steam clean it then put it back together and get it powder coated - jazzy flaked gold would look spanking in your engine bay. Make sure you fill all the threaded holes and cover the threads for the alternator bar first though. The powdercoat will reseal the 2 tin casings back together - otherwise you'll be bleeding air and losing cooling. ditch that w.ank heater fan and get rid of all your wiring and jobs a goodun
looking again at your injun bay - your spraying oil in there too, where you got your breather connected up? I reckon its time for a ring change, if you pardon the pun...
me again. You want to replace them oil soaked injun mounts too. you'll notice the difference as the injun won't shudder so much
Busy night sadly cut short due to the smell of gas driving me mad and putting me in a mood. Why is it that it smells so nice yet after awhile it's game over?? Tins drying. Going for matt look. Under the appalling paint already on them is a lot of surface rust which has shown through and pitted. But will do for the moment. Gas tank out. There was a lot more in there than the gauge was letting on. And this will be why my filters and pipes block often But not for long. New tank is ready to go Also replacing the filler neck. Mine is showing signs of cracking. l was also going to replace the filler neck top hose but the one Heritage sell is too small. On examination of mine however it is more than serviceable so will go back. I thought it had cracked but on this (might be Stateside specific) there is some rubber stuff going on but it isn't split where it matters. And a new clutch fitted to re-skimmed flywheel and new crankcase seal.

Looking very good so far Stu, keep the piccies coming...would you do a bit by bit build up, in piccies of the tinware..pretty please
What a transformation. Looks like you are quite a way through it if you ask me. What did you use to clean the engine and get so lovely and shiny? Did you do the same to the heads? They must be a pain to clean into the fins..... Good work. Nice to see a good looking type 4 engine.
