I'm quite tempted by one of these too! I wonder if custom canvases are a possibility, I'd love one to match the poptop canvas.

On this one you can see where I have made the bracket thinner, as it was originally fitted to a T3

The careful work of a craftsman, the love you have for your work shines out like a beacon.

  4. One could say I prefer function over form.....
Or indeed, that this particular piece was taken from the 'Have it , you b'stard' school of angle grinding.

Thanks for posting the comprehensive set of pics Bobdogs
The row of drips that would land inside the sliding door noted, I saw you can buy rubber piece for this for less than a tenner while I was googling.

Does it's legs fold up inside?

  7. Can you mount these directly without any brackets, i have a high top with a nice flat side

The standard brackets it comes with are for this.

  9. They do indeed....they have a spring inside and you just clip them into place as it's wound in.

  10. You got a link for that rubber item mentioned earlier Zed...?

  12. thanks so much for the pictures.

I can't quite work out how it will all work with a Devon roof, but hopefully zed will fit one before me and then i can follow his advice!

It doesn't look like it would interfere with the roof at all to me, it's all further out.

    £240!
Shame it's so expensive as it would save carrying a handle around.

  15. It wouldn't be too complicated to adjust the angle of the bracket to allow for greater clearance from the roof....
Subtle use of a large hammer with a hint of mindless violence would suffice.

That’s exactly what I did when I fitted my Fiamma F35 Pro, no spacers required, the brackets are simply slightly bent but the brackets now available for the T2 are probably already the correct angle.

The F35 Pro is a manual awning so there isn’t a handle but it really needs two people to extend and retract. This is the one I have http://www.everythingfiamma.co.uk/p...300cm---titanium-case-with-a-grey-canopy.html

    Linky?
I was chatting to the bacon butty van lady today, she's had a Fiamma awning on the side of her van for 15 years and used it 5 days a week, it's never gone wrong and to me looks a year old if that.
