I'm forever toying with the idea of stripes - there are so many possibilities it's probably easier if someone else chooses!

  2. For a hitop you could use an awning channel and just slide a bag awning into it....a lot lighter. I would even suggest using silicon to stick the awning channel on with to avoid drilling holes in the hitop...that stuff doesn't want to come off once its set!

  3. I keep wondering about stripes too

  4. the Outhaus one is till quite heavy would be nervous about silicon only....

  5. You could always put a couple of small screws in for the 'belt and braces' approach....wouldn't be too hard to hide the holes if you ever took it off....I'm always looking for ways of not drilling holes in my bus!

  6. Go with something you've got in the shed.

  7. Just picked up a F45i awning for my van. Cost me 99p  just need to buy the brackets.

    Bargain of the year.

  9. You can say that again, it's an oldish one but still got years of use in it. I've had a search saved on my eBay account for years on these things and the one thing I'll say is I've not known many items to hold their value like these. I've seen second hand broken units sell for near the rrp of a new one. I got lucky and a guy local to me just wanted shot of it so put it up for buy it now 99p. RESULT!

  10. Did I mention it's brown and white stripe?

  11. £49.01 more expensive than mine already:D

The local trading estate burger van has had hers for 14 years, it gets wound out day in day out in all weathers and still going strong.

  13. Has anyone got any sides/ front that attach to one of these? I might know of a set available ;)

I'm thinking about getting at least 0ne side. What's the deal?

  15. A friend has asked me to sell this, it's old but I don't think it's ever been used, was still in the cardboard box until that fell apart when we moved it.

I see canvas on the floor - could you describe it please @Beaver? :)
    Poles still with it?

  17. Sorry for the dodgy pics, I don't have a fiamia thing to put it up properly.

It's 2 sides and a front, I think one plain. One with window and one with a door.

There are poles with it, from what I understand, the sides clip onto the windy out bit and hang down, then the poles(with this) look like they support the weight when extended and the front clips onto something at the front of the bit that winds out.

I'm not overly familiar with wind out shelters. I think there's some more pics if you can hold on til dinnertime

Size would be good too - it looks small but maybe you can use 2 side to make 1 and have an L shape which could be good.
I'm interested, but I think there may be just too much of it for me and it looks heavy/bulky. Travelling light and all that. :)
