Be interested too see some more specific photo's of them, sounds interesting.

I don't suppose you know how it effects outside noise and what'll be like in summer, but its nice to have something different.

Have you got any ideas/plans to do with the van in the coming future, presume oils leaks first ;)

    I've seen them here http://www.vwbusshop.de/231070433A
but never in the flesh on a T2, only on later T3 Westies. They certainly look original.

  3. image.jpg image.jpg Some pics of that beach i told you about! Thailand? Nope,Stenshuvud beach. image.jpg

  4. I like those double glazed windows - although you can't have opening ones, which is a shame. What's also a shame is that I don't have £350 to buy the set of 3 rear windows from VW Bus Shop. :(

  6. No, I haven't but after seeing the Norwegian/Swedish TV Series "The Bridge", I've wanted to drive over it in the bus. Before then I didn't realise it existed!

How long was the Harwich - Ejsberg crossing?

  7. Get it registered in Sweden with Swedish plates first of all.
Then get rid of the oil leak, get cd player working, tidy up wires under the dash and engine room, fit electronic ignition.
Use it this coming summer and then after that strip out interior and insulate, remove all windows and get it rust free, then refit it all with new rubbers.I need to replace the tent canvas and redo the roof, new flooring, new mats
Spot lights to be mounted and a good clay treatment on the new paint and an extensive polish and paint sealer.
I also belong to a car detail forum too.
Suppose get the van lookking good and functional and keep it that way.

  8. Its cool to drive over that bridge! Esbjerg left at 1745 and arrived at 1300 Danish time.
Very nice ship, wifi for free but not in cabins, good food etc

  9. Hmmm, that's a bit too long for the dog. I looked at booking, and it seems to suggest that pets have to stay in your car the whole way. With nowhere to exercise and nowhere to crap, I can foresee him getting very distressed. Looks like I'll be going the long way around then.

  10. That is correct! The long way round might be cool too.

Hotdogs and hot cocoa! Kids loved it!
Got home and got the cd player working, found out the fuel sender unit is faulty, found another leak on the dipstick rubber boot, fan in engine room is getting power but not working? Is it repairable?

    I ordered the following parts:
Brand new rocker covers, bales and gaskets.
    Accuspark electronic ignition
    Accuspark 8mm ht leads
    Pushrod seals
    Dipstick rubber boot
    Fuel sender unit.

Im looking for a bushing kit for the gearlinkages too,any recommendations on where i can get these?

  19. I've swum in the sea in the Stockholm Archipelago in summer - it's plenty warm enough. And that's quite a bit further north than those beaches.
