Ahh it's LHD, the m-code plate as Paul says is on the heater tubes, it's above the fuse box, does your van have an eberspacher ? If you pull out the dash pod you will be able to see it, it's pretty tucked away up there

Ok cheers I'll try that, I've taken the glovebox and radio out and the fuse box is hanging by one screw but I'll have a look in the morning.

Sorry for doubting you @Paul Weeding but it was the extra info from @davidoft that did it, cheers guys.

  6. I've been reading this thread with interest as I too have a '79 single cab, LHD, formerly owned by a German roofing company.
One thing to be aware of when you come to do the outer cills is not to make the mistake a lot of people make and buy the normal Bay Bus cills - you actually need Split Bus cills! If you contact me nearer the time I can give you more details/part numbers etc.

Absolutely foul day here so not much done, finished the shed base so I can move it and build a new one next week.
    Cleaned up the sun visors!

Hardly essential progress but at least I could do it in the warm and dry :)

A bit of mould no match for a scrubbing brush!
wish the wheel nuts were as easy to get off, will be resorting to heat in the morning i think

  15. Try nipping them a touch tighter before undoing them

Yeh, luckily thats the only one thats been chiseled, think It'll need a new stud!
Some of the others are a bit seized and I've just broken the wheel brace  but it was pretty weedy anyway, off to the shop for a socket and breaker bar

  19. 6 point impact socket, and a 2.5/3ft breaker bar
