Fedima from Tyres Direct Online Mud &Snow 185/80 14c Very limited choice of this kind of tyre in a 14' as I'm sure you know, they look very like what was on when I got it though.
Ordered all the required panels from Schofields just now, very reasonable £235 for all it needs! Will be getting some Oxy Acetalene bottles on thursday cos I hate MIG welding, when I'm lying on my back outside working 12inches away from my nose I like to be able to control what i'm welding and not get covered in splatter ,plus I find I have to do a lot less dressing/grinding of welds afterwards.
good on you! i wouldnt like to use oxy on panels though. I tried years ago on a mini and it ended up like a wobble board
Loving the easy access to the petrol tank and filler, Started on the engine bay tidy up, surprisingly good bits right next to not so brilliant
Tank out Handy being able to take pics inside the tank with the iPhone One small pinhole and a few patches of rust on the underside of the tank
Back on it after doing some jobs on the camper and going to Eskdale, will have to return to one job a day! 2 hours work and no one would think I've done anything, lots of cleaning/ wire brushing in the engine bay and the big empty space between the engine and fuel tank, need a cheap Hoover to get all the crap out. Some work to do this side Not so much this side Both battery trays excellent Question for the pickup owners, should there be any kind of cover in the big oval hole between the engine and tank, like a firewall thing?
Oxy acetylene mostly, I've got a mig as well but hate it, I know gas distorts more on bigger panels but there's a lot less grinding back tidying up welds afterwards, and I know I've got good penetration on the weld, also I don't get covered in hot splatter when I'm on my back welding near my nose
