2.0ltr Injection, it's all there but seized solid






Engine ready to be dropped, the general condition of the body and chassis is pretty decent and there's not much missing!
Overall I'm very happy and looking forward to getting stuck in.

the cab floor has a badly welded patch ,where there`s smoke...

dropsides would have took some time to do...

I must agree, the odd patch that's been done has not been done well but there aren't many of them.

Am watching this thread with great interest, I missed out on one before I brought my bus. If you were in my neck of the woods I would of liked to of come and gave you a hand with it. I like when the fabric goes on and you can do some great conversions to sleep out of the back. Will you be putting a frame on the back or leave it as is.

Is engine deffo seized not something like diff knackered or stuck in a gear?

 

Or oil pump? I had it in a beetle where I couldn't budge it for love nor money and it turned out to be the oil pump. Still loads of work to fix but better than a seized engine

 

One to watch

 

Not much time to do anything today, just unplugged everything in the engine bay and unbolted the 4 bolts, loosened the mounting bar nuts ready to drop engine tomorrow.
There's a lot of pipes and wires on these FI units!








Take loads of photos, help remember where everything goes.
