A standard wheel is too large for a Disklok. Stoplocks are rubbish as you can just cut through the steering wheel! I would consider (and have done) buying a wheel lock (Bulldog or Stoplock), Uber Pedal Lock and/or tracker
I have, a steering wheel bar lock, a wheel clamp, a flashing red led, two dogs and a red headed wife. If the robbers can get past the wife, they've earnt IT
Not saying they are the best in the world but worked very well in my van, not that it was ever stolen but if door opened it text you bla bla, Worked in the garage as well so signal was ok. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tracker-Veh...&ie=UTF8&qid=1432752516&sr=1-1&keywords=tk103
Nah, not prison, although it would have been easier!! Had a few issues that needed my full attention. They're sorted now so now I can come out to play again instead of working my nutz off
Fair play, that does look pretty good and not going to empty my wallet - although it's probably too late for this weekend Yes, I hadn't even thought about that! Think I'll go with a wheel clamp for immediacy, and look into tracker type things on my return. Thanks chaps
Here's a simple one. When you park always turn your wheels full lock to the kerb. With a wheel clamp or steering wheel lock, it makes it harder to dolly off or push onto a truck. Just a bit harder. Also, the wind doesn't blow it along anymore, if your handbrake is pants.
Thought I might contribute to and revive this old thread. I am pleased that it has gone cold, as perhaps security is not such a worry as when started. I noted some mentions of pedal locks and saw that the only marketed version I could find was quite large so made my own from some quite heavy metal. Mine fits into a canvas tool role when not fitted and conveniently lives behind the drivers seat, though I will not lie it takes more than a few seconds to fit or remove with the key. Hopefully without the key it should take a whole lot longer, though I know nothing is immune to a big enough lever with a nutter on the other end who does not mind how much damage he does.
I have an engine that makes so much noise when it's cold started that any potential ne'er do well miscreant will soil his pants and run a mile.
And they will freeze to death within 15 mins ,.frightened silly from pumping brakes and play in the steering . If it's nicked at night he or she will not see a thing from breath mist on the screen, opposing vehicle lights will then make it impossible to see even more ( winter of coarse ) . The smell of fuel will be of concern ,it would probably end up parked up in the middle of the road with the door left open ......unless his intension is to brake it for spares .

Depends who is nicking it I guess, if I am recovering a car that has no keys or steering lock is jammed so the wheels are pointing the wrong way, I stand on the brake pedal then the winch drags it straight like being in a skid rather than it steering off the way the wheels are pointing !!!
