Yeah I've got one too, it is abit of a struggle getting it in position and then I can't get the padlock through, think I'm gonna have to get the grinder out.
Security ... I took the engine out and never replaced it ... up on ramps covered in dirt has put most people off.
If I lived in a town, I would be worried about my camping stuff being nicked out of the van, but who really wants to steal a complete camper?
Yes but some people just steel stuff and at the mo campers are in vogue- not sure why as I think ringing cars these dys is a lot harder. But just stripping out spares may make it a livihood for some "people". The number of times the trains were screwed going to london with people trying to steal the overheads; those morons in Harlow(or wherever it was) who stole a Henry Moore statue and got like 100 quid for it, all the pot hole overs around us a few years back grrrrr.
I have a Milenco wheel clamp and a krook-lock like thing. I'm Going to fit an immobiliser when I get paid.
I got a bit of wire holding the gates together... Good thing in France you spend zero time looking for your keys...
I have put a 17" wheel on - original wheel is over 18" (?) and just slightly too big for the large disklok.
I have faded paint, rust and the back end up on stands a lot of the time.....seems to work great lol Its rural around here though...car crime isnt all that prevalent, if somethings been nicked here its a hooky owner after an insurance cheque I imagine
I use a large baseball bat attached to my hand , anything moves in my perimeter gets knocked for a "six". Oh and chains immobilized, and doesn't start most of the time
I've got the latest digital transponder technology that they use in the aircraft industry, it's proper cutting edge. They guy I bought it from works for Malaysia Airlines and sorted me an excellent price.
