what security do you have on your t2?

Just keep reading about all the thefts, wondering what security measures everyone has.
I use a chain and padlock around the back of the handbrake and through steering wheel, hopefully acts as a visible deterrent to an opportunist if little else. Also will be putting the hidden leisure battery back in which powers a boxed in tracking device (amazon 25 quid jobbie but does the trick)
I also always try to park it so it requires reversing, as it seems only mrs and me can get the bugger in reverse as Mot man will testify!
I know if some dedicated rogues are wanting it itll go on the back of a trailer but the hopefully the average little toerag seeing it in asda carpark might think twice. Plus its no show bus. One of the benefits of not having a nice shiny respray I spose.

 

I've been looking at wheel clamps, think I saw that Argos do them and they're not overly expensive

I use an Uber Secure pedal lock (from here), a steering wheel chain and a Bulldog wheel clamp, but I think the best deterrent is plenty of rust, odd splashes of different colour primer/top coat and an un-sexy Sheldon high-top. Still worried about all the recent thefts though, so am now thinking of fitting a tracker.

Someone should make some magnetic vinyl's as used on commercial vans etc. Do some that look like rust, pop them on and no one will want it. When you go out just take them off

 

He has to have the light on behind him, it's one of the clauses in his contract so you can't see his face, I also have to supply the black strip over his eyes.

 

Not much of a market for them as most vans have the real deal.

@Millie has one of those pedal locks (I think it's the same) and it didn't fit anyone's van we tried it on. Miles off for hers, close-ish on others, but didn't actually fit on anyone's.

Yes mine has dents on all visible panels but I'm not sure the people nicking these appreciate such things.

I have an ill fitting steering wheel krook-lock thing and a stop-lok wheel clamp - almost the same colour as the camper...which is nice. Just debating whether we take this with us when we go camping.

How many actual thefts are there? I reckon loads are insurance jobs when the £15k shiny van with agreed value insurance is found to need £10k of welding and a new engine.

I have a Disklok on the steering wheel and a clamp on the back wheel - also thinking of installing a tracker too
