Well our conservative MP is missing in action and has been for sometime. He was being investigated for molesting women, taking cocaine and taking loans from Russian businessman so he booked himself into a private mental hospital
Mine is Damian Hinds, East Hants is a very safe Tory seat. So far this year I have written to him about Twice about the Prime Ministers conduct. Honours List and Gavin W knighthood. Twice about the lack of energy strategy In 2021 I wrote to him about the withdrawal/evacuation from Afghanistan Numerous time on sewage issues. Covid grants Reopening of schools during Covid I always get a response albeit some are very much the party line. Some of us engage with our politicians more than you might think.
But do you think that the 'some of us' here that engage in political debate and have contacted our respective MP's are reflective of the general public? I don't think so.
My MP is lizz Truss .. and apparently lives in my tiny town, but I don’t know anyone that’s ever seen her here….

Our is a safe Tory seat too. The incumbent pops his head out for the odd photo op but is quite absent when taken to task about southern water polluting our beach. I am inspired by the latter part of this thread to actually write to him! I’ve only had recourse to get in contact with the ward counsellors before - low hanging fruit

I know mine very well. He used to be a facebook friend and I have met him at numerous functions but as soon as he was elected he deleted a lot of old aquaintences. I have known all our MP's locally for the last 40 years and have most of their personal telephone numbers. This involves thinking and actually giving a fig not just spouting some well worn spiel on the internet!
after falling sick from swimming in Chichester Harbour I have been keen to see the local MPs do something but of course Mak along with Keegan and Mourdant have done nothing apart from the political gesturing
