  1. It does make me chuckle when fatties ( and im not talking about unfortunate people who might be disabled in some way etc) say 'I'm big' when in actual fact, you are 'normal' , just 'fat'......all while chugging a diet Coke, to wash down their mega bucket of fried chicken (chickens healthy, right?)....

I’m a fan of the cheap deals and enjoyed my Domino pizza last night.
    I got a large for £9.99 instead of £20.
I was very disciplined and only ate half.

That left enough space for most of a tub of Ben & Jerry’s chocolate fudge ice cream I also collected. Unfortunately that was full price.

I’m going to have to put in some miles on the bike later for that lot. Quite a few miles as it has probably pushed me into the next bracket of fatness.

I am nearly on the obese scale (I may actually be on it) I like to think it’s due to my diminutive 5.1 stature, , my plumbers muscles and the Very unfair weight gaining through no fault of my own menopause !!!

I have lost over a stone this year tho so I’m not quite as round :)

I could do with losing a stone but really struggle to see how I would still be a healthy weight at 10st 4!!
I was around 11st a few years back after having lost weight due to stress and I didn’t look healthy.

I really can’t imagine how I would lose at least half a stone? To get down to 7 stone I would have to either chop my legs off or develop a serious illness!

I can cope with being overweight at my current weight (10.1)

thank you :) it’s actually a bit more from when I was at obese level!! Without changing any eating or work habits I kept piling on the pounds for now apparent reason :(. I’m thoroughly blaming menopause! It’s not fair!!! (Stamps her foot in an unfairness of it all strop!)

    Am I healthy? Hell no!

Anyway, if you read the not very small print everyone's most likely fit n fine. :)

    "Limitations of the BMI
Your BMI can tell you if you're carrying too much weight, but it cannot tell if you're carrying too much fat.

The BMI cannot tell the difference between excess fat, muscle or bone.

The adult BMI does not take into account age, gender or muscle mass.

    This means:

    • very muscular adults and athletes may be classed "overweight" or "obese" even though their body fat is low
    • adults who lose muscle as they get older may fall into the "healthy weight" range even though they may be carrying excess fat"

It's really saying take with a large pinch of salt, you know jolly well whether you're fat or not.

  12. A few years ago I had an annual check up with a doctor in that there London I had not met before. When I walked in she said hello, and pointed out that I had put on quite a bit of weight recently.
I said that she must be very good to know that as we had not met before. She replied not really, it was obvious as none of my clothes fitted me!

The BMI calculator suggests I’d be in the healthy range if I’m anything from 8st 6 through to 11st 4 .....I’ve not weighed as little as that since I was about 16, and at the other end I think I’d struggle to get off the sofa! It seems a very wide ranging scale.
