People that wish to refuse wearing masks are the same sort that turn up to fancy dress party's ...not in fancy dress , because they feel a git .
When they get there they feel a git for not wearing fancy dress .

Are most of the folk moaning about wearing a mask office workers?
If you work in a industrial environment, you more than likely need to wear some sort of ppe.
We had it in construction where folk at first didn't want to wear a hard hat or safety boots/goggles/dust masks.
    Now it's the norm.
If it saves lives just get with the programme people

  5. ^ this.

This mask thing is creating another wave of busybodys like during the lockdown. People need to concentrate on themselves and stop worrying about Doris down the street not wearing a mask in Tescos.

  6. Wearing a mask for half an hour in a shop is not much of a problem.

In the store where I work, most of the boys and girls have visors on especially the ones that aren’t getting too physical. The ones that are humping and bumping things about are trying to wear masks or visors but sometimes is just not practical. Some of our peeps at the click and collect are getting moaned at by the customers for not wearing anything even though they’ve just collected five six seven or even more baskets of shopping for them from the various hidy holes in our little pod area, some from the fridge, some from the freezer, some from the ambient etc etc. Virtually every customer thinks that they are the only one with shopping to be collected and that our peeps have all just been sat there waiting for them to come in:rolleyes:
I’m just looking at some other masks I’ve heard about from a customer. They were described as a little like safety glasses and to be worn like glasses but with a face and mouth covering attached, possibly making them a little easier to wear than these face masks or visors which have turned into a bit of a pig as soon as it gets blowy when delivering with the blessed thing wrinkling and flapping about in the gusts and sounding a bit like a wobble board.:theforce:

    Ozziedog,,,,,,,lets try these then :););)

  9. No its not, but a picture of someone doing the role I had, navigating the ship. Wearing "action dress" in the Gulf was bit warm, particularly one day when we lost the air conditioning and had to rig an air scoop at the front of the ship and open the back doors to let it out. Its why I dont complain about wearing a face mask for an hour twice a week.

  10. I’ve been having to wear a head torch and sometimes mask & gloves working on the van for the past 6 months. Whenever I catch myself winging, internally, I think about all the Service men & women clad in far more cumbersome clobber than me, doing far more technical things...far more dangerous and actually life threatening. I shame myself and carry on...until the next time I feel sorry for myself.
