  11. Wow, I've just read this thread.

I wish I had a tenth of your fabrication skills.

How is it coming along now?

  12. Well done. Looking great. Don't bother with side glass go panelvan haha .... and just a idea i was going to do with mine put in roof windows like a samba I never got round to do as my roof was good and I wanted to do some airbrushing on the inside. So the idea was scrapped. ..... oh god please don't paint it 2 tone ..... haha just amazing build well done again good to see people doing out of the box stuff.

  13. hi guys =) no it is not over yet ;) But meanwhile i was working on those two projects. The first was imported from the States and was fully rebuilded, the second one just engine rebuild and all wiring done.

In december i am planing to continue with my older project. I ordered also new Original front doors and sliding door. So i can finnaly continue with metalwork. I also get my self a spot welder that everything will get faster together.

Ohh one more thing... i upgraded front brakes for my bus =)) To 320mm discs and Brembo 4 pot calipers... i thing that will do. Sorry just for bad pics

  14. I finally got my doors =) Happier then ever. Now i can replace B columns and finishing the body to chassis mating project.. And front caliper adapter on closer look.

  16. Loving the brake upgrade. Whats the smallest wheels you'll be able to fit over those massive discs and calipers?

You're gonna end up with a great handling van by using the T25 (t3) as a chassis donor. They are lightyears ahead of a bay in the handling stakes. Just look at the Racetaxi.

I think your on the mark with looking at how RaceTaxi is built (theres a good selection of build photos) - I love the thought gone into that project, hats off to them :hattip:

  18. I think the thing that makes Ziiga's build different from the Racetaxi (and also interesting) is that instead of adapting the body to fit the chassis (the Racetaxi has a widened and lengthened split body) the chassis has been altered to fit the body so the proportions of the Bay bodywork will be the same.

That's what makes Ziiga's build great imo, again its something different and outside the usual box (ie, repair the rot and weld in good metal) I for one cannot wait to see the end result.
Not to say there aren't other builds of equal par with Ziiga's, theres plenty of other worthy of high praises as well as this!

  20. Width of the Racetaxi looks a bit odd in my eyes.
The 40mm extra length in the wheelbase isn't too bad and the extra rear length was for the porsche flat 6 though i assume.
