I too have developed this life threatening affliction today. It feels like someone has lit a small fire in my oesophagus.
I'm glad I live in the colonies where there's sunshine, warmth, fresh air & we're far from the fetid and rancid overcrowded slums of the old dart where death and disease is rampant.
I've actually got a tin of these under computers monitor as we speak. I'll take a couple and see how you feel in the morning.
How about a "Purge" for artb Bern? I'm sure many if not most, or even none whatsoever, TLBers would agree a good purge does you the world of good . @art b, I feel your pain, I only shook off the dreaded lurg a couple of weeks ago after having it the best part of a month. I truly did feel pretty Eartha for that whole time. No buboes to lance though so, small mercies and all that.....
Purge..purge... I lay in bed last nite and thought my gut would explode.. I have been sucking extra strong menthlyptus tablets ,to breath all evening, And having very little taste I've been having soups and chicken with Nandos hot Piri Piri sauce, and a Piri Piri chicken wrap for dinner... At 4am this morning, I had a fire in my stomach like no other.. A glass of milk settled it.. Over all feeling better...
Give him some chicken soup (the cure all) I've got it now - contagious these forums - and it's dangerous for someone my age - good job I'm not famous
I too have taken, shivering, to bed with The Plague. Kof, kof, kof. Considering taking out shares in LemSip, which cures all known afflictions. Perhaps some hospital could open up a ward just for all we sufferers? Emergency Ward TLB, with Dr Kildare and his comforting leather bag of medicaments. No vomiters though, please. That's just unnecessary.
