Got the van out of the garage and left it out in the rain whilst No1 granddaughter and I carried on renovating her mountain bike. It was Ok yesterday as it was lovely and sunny so we dismantled the bike, sanded the frame and primed it in the garden, but it was persisting with rain this morning so we had to retire to the garage to carry on with the bike. She's quite a dab hand with the aerosol cans now after etch primer, primer filler, and red primer prior to Ford Rosso Red top coat tomorrow. She's a Sheffield United and Ferrari fan so I guess it had to be red .

 Trying to teach Ella to weld when she was 7 or 8 was a bit daunting for her, but at nearly 12 she seems up for it, so that's next :D

Started undoing a ball joint nut prior to cracking the joint to replace a split boot.

It undid one turn, seized up totally then both the ball joint and the camber nut freed up and started rotating independently ...

Even though the Meyle ball joints have a flat on the bottom, nothing can grip it well enough to move the nut either way now its undone one turn.

Out with a Dremel and a carbide burr tomorrow, then I shall reuse the nut off the other side where I changed the ball joint on Tuesday. Clean up the thread when it's out.. angle grinder too big to fit..

Did you try clamping the joint back together?

Have you tried the small 2-3 inch “Katsu” mini angle grinder? Had mine about 3 years done loads of hours with it ( including today ) cheap and brilliantly accessible …for most otherwise inaccessible places
