Knocked up a timing wheel VR sensor simulator so I don't have to have the engine running while checking the ignition timing controller.
About 10 lines of C code on top of a code project built by the ST Microelectronics STM32CubeMX application. Choose hardware modules to enable, then write code that programs 35 short pulses then a long one, emulating the 36+1 timing wheel.
Code development like on Arduino but closer to the metal.

Gave him a spruce up inside after recent works on the master cylinder and brake reservoir.

This prompted me to try and fix the hazard warning light switch. It was flashing the indicators but didn’t illuminate itself unless you pressed on it.

On the 3rd switch we have a winner :)

Must be a weak spot on them.

He needs a good clean on the outside now as his cover has been off while working on him - and the weather has been awful.

Did you try cleaning the hazard flasher bulb holder ?

    Fixed the screen washer.

Replaced drivers door rubber. Door still not shutting properly so need to work out how to adjust the door fit.

Tried to fix the random misfire (thread in Mech Tech)

Tried to replace faulty indicator stalk (ongoing as it's not obvious how you do it)

I did Mike. I’m guessing the bodies must wear just enough so that electrical contact isn’t made.

I’ve kept the old switch bodies just in case. They do operate the indicators - just not the illuminated pull button :(

Yes, theres that and the coaxial power feed for the bulb, and switch contacts, all a bit dodgy after years.

When I lifted my passenger seat belt fixing up by hand, a sandwich of rust came with it.. kept moist by carpet on top and crud underneath..

I was shocked myself. More than holding the mains for instance.

Yup. Knew it was going to be ropey, strangely I'm quite excited to see if I can sort it. May regret saying that though!
