Some of you non-technical people may need to pm me for the simpler steps in my latest achievement.

I opened the doors to let the rain out.

  10. Decided to crawl underneath to change the fuel pump and realised I don't have any TORX bolt sockets! Ordered new set from Amazon. Might get it fixed before the summer is over! :(

Visited Custom & Commercial and picked up my new replacement load bed.

They’ve just had a 10% off weekend and my load bed has some crispy bits and a crudely cut over engine inspection hatch, so I couldn’t resist.

Apparently I got the last Klassic Fab load bed in the UK :)

The hard part will be fitting it as it looks quite an involved job.

Finished messing about with the new alternator that spilled over into new plugs, curing the sticky float and needle valve in the right hand carb, checking the fuel pressure, resetting the timing by finding TDC with a probe down the plug, setting the idle mixture, tidying up some wiring, wrapping the exhaust to try to keep the rear tin a bit cooler, and making a heat shield for the oil filter. Went for a run and it seems a bit perkier.

  15. A few small updates, nothing too exciting.

New seat cushion for the cool box in Porsche cloth to match the seats. [IMG]
New middle lap belt to match the rest.

And following on from the dog thread, first journey strapped into the back, rather than in a cage

    Exhaust Wrap.
Was wondering in my thread I started in mech tech, if wrap made a difference.

  18. Yes he enjoyed the view I think! Need to think of seat covers though before any carp weather!
