Or...pull out the two bungs from the adjuster holes in the backing plate that keep the weather out / stop the adjusters seizing, adjust and put the bungs back. :) No bungs? You should get some, I had a box of them once, I think I gave them to @Dubs to sprinkle around passing buses. Holes not round? New backing plates required.

The backplate bungs do work. 4 1/2 years of the van as only vehicle outside at all times, adjusted the brakes twice and they're as silky as Barry's sliding door. You need 3 per side, there's one at the top for inspecting one of brake shoe's thickness at the point where they wear most. Saves a lot of messing about.

  11. Removed & tightened sliding window catch.

Fiddled with some rubber trim over the sliding door.

Wonderd how the silent gliss curtain rail is meant to work originally.

I've got a bit that goes all the way from middle of the windscreen and curves around the sliding door. The last foot of it covers up another bit of silent gliss.

    Lunchtime break jobs. [IMG]

  12. There’s a knack to getting the rubber trim on. It kind of hooks over the top panel in a non-obvious way. Expect to use profanity.

  13. Probably indicator height regulations in America at a guess. The height of lights is the reason rubber bumper MGBs were raised 2" on there suspension in the mid seventies and as s result look like they are on top toes.

  14. Whipped my spring plate covers off. I did. I really did.
