  2. Spent 3 hrs fighting with the window seal in the slider...... Wouldn't play ball at all.

Eventually got it in, got the insert in, worked it round.....

.... Then the rubber spilt on the first corner!! Oops.

Least it kept the teenager amused for a few hrs!

  3. Just be glad you can’t smell it

I know what you mean. My welder only fits 100mm rolls though. I got some more, yesterday, and finished welding up one end of the bumper deformation panel. Low on gas now, though. About another day or so of welding, then I’m taking all the old brake backing plates off and renewing the whole brake system.

PO said he used a hammer to get the Sliding Door seal in...and missed
Having read your 3hr fight plight it’s now yet another task I am not looking forward to.
All the window seals were new when I bought the Bay in 2017 - but seeing how badly things were done in it I want to take all the windows out to sort any rust.
Question: since the seals were new can I reuse them?

Yes...if you can get them out without causing more paint damage or damaging the seal prying them over the lip from inside. Try it - you can always order seals if it doesn't work. Leave it in the sun first - warmer = softer.

Pulled some heavier wire through the roof for solar panels. Prepared the cable gland through the roof for the larger solar cell wires.
Started cutting some of the aluminium for the fixing bars for the solar panels.

Got called round a friends house where I took the front off their Renault Megane, changed an indicator bulb, gave them an H7 headlamp bulb and fitted that as they bought the wrong one, and changed the other indicator bulb as I had a spare (raided out of an old bulb kit for a Zafira).. Now I see why it costs £100 for a Renault garage to change the indicator bulb. Or 20% of what the car cost.
