I used mine to take a couple of blown window panels down the tip, they love the van down there, usually they are such miserable bar stewards. In Ashton a passenger in an Über wound down his window to tell me how lovely it was.

I’ve got a squeal from one of the front brakes all of a sudden, I must get underneath and see if the discs need cleaning or something. Also the clutch needs another turn or two of adjustment, first can be a bit touch and go in the Manchester traffic.

  2. May be a Senior Citizen caught in a caliper. Remove them using a stiff wire brush

It's either the copperslip grease has washed off now, or the pads have worn to the point where you need to review the shimming of the calipers and pads as that's more of a long term solution than copper grease.

Drove it to work yesterday, and took a day off to go out to National Trust Mottisfont today.
Tomorrow off to an AirBnB in West Wales in it. Somewhere between Winchester and Newbury, it will go through 100,000 miles since we bought it in 2010..

Took the bus through 100k miles since I bought it. Passing Tot Hill Services, north bound on the A34. Literally opposite where it melted a piston going the other way a while back...

  8. 2300mile service..clicky cv joint offside - filled of grease - another 4000miles to go yet

  10. Plenty of dynax in there after the new panels are fitted it should last for years.

  11. It'll get a good squirting.

  12. Do you have a compressor?

  13. No, but I have big aerosols with the 360* Dynax nozzle on.

  14. They’re ok but if you can borrow a compressor and a pressure pot gun it will do a much better job.
At 90 psi the wax comes out of the nozzle as mist which clings to everything.
The cans rely on you squirting it enough everywhere as a liquid that it then runs and all joins up.

  15. If using cans, is it best to drive it straightaway and throw it around corners and up n down hills?
    It’s a serious question.
A few accelerations and emergency stops.

  16. I doubt that would do anything to spread it about it’s not like water it’s thicker and clingy

After Zed told me how to wriggle under to adjust my clutch I put another couple of turns on it, using my hemostat to grab the cable end. I was a tight fit but it worked, no jacking required. Pedal travel now about an inch, now I know how I can nip it up some more if first selection is still a bit hit and miss.

It usually finds the drain holes and drips into containers provided. Do it on a hot day and it should soak into the crevices and the rust, rather than settling as a waxy lump that went nowhere on a cold day..

  19. That's silly ;). Dynax is pretty thin, and the wand/nozzle on the big aerosols spray four misty jets at 90*, like a fuel injector. You get pretty good coverage without a lot of faff.

But with 2kw of compresssed air power behind it, boy does it come out of the gun. Kinetic energy instead of a heavily wax scented mist.
