sober for october? anyone?

i'm not doing the sponsor stuff but i'm having a go at it..... trouble is i've got 1/2 bottle of voddy and only a bit of coke and it's a bit strong....... hopefully i'll finish it before midnight.

 

Bugger, just opened a bottle of wine.....rude not to....

 

Still got some camping to do so will have to give it a miss

Why ?

 

99% there, I'll just give the monthly tin of ******* weak lager a miss.
At risk of sounding like a reformed smoker, most of us I'd guess never go more than a day or two max without any alcohol. Seems to me after a couple of weeks I felt a whole lot better in myself and still do. One can is ok, but 2 and the effect is gone for a few days. Wierd, after drinking like anyone else since about 16 I never really noticed it's ongoing effect until it wasn't there.

 

why to which part?
can't be arsed is self explanitory
and can i do 31 days sober? personal challenge.

i dont actually drink in week unless on holiday and only at weekends if im thirsty .

 

I barely drink anyway. Who would notice the difference? I was asked by a nurse how much alcohol I drank in a week, and I said it would be easier to count how much I drank in a month. "oh, I'll put 'social' then....."

 

Got really badly trolleyed at Xmas last year, so badly I gave up alcohol for ALL of January and went on a diet at the same time - felt brilliant, but a bit sanctimonious at the same time so got back on it in Feb......
