RIP the UK

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Dubs, Dec 13, 2019.

  1. Many of the workers can't be arsed with taking control and just want a decent wage at the end of the week and aren't interested in an idealism, they just want to live their lives.
Since the unions had their wings clipped by Thatcher, Labour has been biting with pulled teeth. They need to change tack, but they didn't take notice of their own members, so they're not going to take any notice of me and I'm as sharp as the oldest teaspoon in the draw.

  2. There's not a single veiw or opinion that I find offending.
But calling people thick or stupid because they differ in opinions is just chulish.
The Tory's where voted in by a landslide more than me foot managed to achieve and that's saying something...
If the labour party had listed to people like Alan Johnson you would have a huge labour government today right now.
Momentum has stolen a party that I once called my own they all hate Blair and brown (not perfect people I know) but they are the only labour leaders in 50 years to get in and like them or not just left of center position political views go down well in this country. And to degree they worked very well.

Momentum are planning aready to push for the same as jezza just in a different hat to lead the party. But.....
Time has moved on gone are the days of far left policy's working it's a global market place tax the rich and they bugger off you can Skype. Buying back key service providers and companys it would take years of litigation and going to court to make it happen say it took 5 years to take over Open Reach that's 5 years of no investment by open reach and no pension funds. We would own that mess.

So was it Jezza or brexit that killed the party.
Jezza is the main cause people don't like him the world stage big players would eat him alive I'm afraid.
And as for brexit it was voted for some people did not like the result so they went around spending millions going to court and paying for media just basically calling people thick bnp supporters. Those people got sick of being sneered at and gave the party a good kicking because they where sick of being looked down on.

Don't blame Boris for seeing an opportunity and then exploiting it.

  3. I was quoting direct from the mouth of our current Prime Minister & people STILL voted him/them in! What does that tell you? I for one certainly feel cheated but wasn't the one being attacked from all sides just for the way I look & not what my policies were! The "I'm alright Jacks" will always win when they own the media. We all need to move on now!

  4. Oh dude I wasn't hinting at you. This place is almost saintly.
For my sins I hide out on a left leaning fourm it's not political it's a bike fourm but very left leaning they have been absolutely horrible and some are still dismissal of the results. They are so right wing in their left wing veiws its comical.
The UK will split up after this I'm sure and that will be labour's fault they never challenge the snp as they wrongly thought they would retain a chunk of scotish voters they took people for granted.
Momentum killed the labour party better than any Tory could have.
Who ever is in charge I will still be me and help others the best I can but according to one of my friends I'm a traitor Im still sending him a Boris Christmas card thou

Our car industry was ruined by poor management and lack of forward planning same as the motorbike industry.

At least with a general election, we can choose every few years to change if one side or the other is making a mess.
And all the time the governments we get are reasonably centrist, we can put up with a slight bias one way or the other.
Labour had become too extreme under the current leadership, so suffered.

Note that a certain Jeremy Corbyn was asked by Tony Benn to take part in that wrecking of British car industry from the bottom, while the management did it from the top.. but according to the biography he declined to go in as one of those secret activists.

And that shows what happens when Britain is left to itself. Managers who destroy, workers who destroy, and bright ideas that end up owned by other countries.

I have already suffered for Brexit, as the owners of my company moved the work to France.
Many more of you will suffer as investment leaves the UK for places who are still in the EU.

The EU may be bad, but I dont think Westminster has shown itself to be any good either.

On a positive note, after 5 years of Boris National Socialism, we will be crying out for a New New Labour.
Guys you have 5 years to stop moaning dump Jezza and create a party and manifesto to win.

After the EU vote we had the Remoaner, after the General election we are now getting the Wingenistas, McDonnell has took responsibility for the kicking then went on to blame everything and everyone else and to say he feels sorry for the people,,,, really,,,. What Labour need to do is sort things out and change to become electable, but no, the leadership is staying in place while they can insure the next leader is Corbyn in a skirt. They are the ones letting the public down, I feel sorry for the " real" labour MPs who must be pulling their hair out.
